Norwalk, CT: Image 4 Recognized by Exhibit Industry as a Leader in Sustainable Exhibit Design

Norwalk, CT

The Exhibit Designers and Producers Association announced the winners of the inaugural Zero Waste Challenge at the annual EDPA Access event in December.  EDPA launched the Zero Waste Challenge to harness its members’ creative energy, recognize innovation and share the best ideas for reducing the industry’s impact on the environment. EDPA challenged members to produce great exhibit projects that improve sustainability by reducing waste, both in the shop and on the show floor.

Boston-area tradeshow marketing firm Image 4 earned first place in the “small footprint” category with a design for client Cucina Aurora. The ten-foot custom exhibit features reclaimed and recycled materials, lightweight fabrics and an innovative skeletal aluminum structure designed to reduce weight and carbon footprint in shipping.

EDPA’s Zero Waste Challenge requires the design/build firm not only to fabricate in a low-waste fashion, but to describe all sustainability initiatives throughout the corporate environment. Image 4 scored highly in this area based on their decade-long experience in sustainable operations, sourcing and project execution.

“By implementing concepts from the USGBC’s LEED system, Image 4 has developed an integrated and fluid operations methodology that delivers efficiency and carbon-reduction across our activities” said Image 4 President Jeff Baker. “This allows us to promote life-cycle design concepts in every one of our projects.”
