Campus Housing Made Uniquely New Hampshire

Architects Lavallee-Brensinger and MacKey-Mitchell contracted Image 4 to design and produce a uniquely New Hampshire Brand Interior for Southern New Hampshire College’s new dorm. Project Overview

Lavellee-Brensinger Architects and MacKey-Mitchell Architects excel in creating on-campus spaces that feel relevant, reflect the local community, and are a home to residential students. The combined Architect teams approached image 4 with a fantastic concept and an ambitious goal: create a new program of iconic shapes and images that feels contemporary yet, is enduring enough to be relevant through generations of on-campus students.

Image 4’s design team developed a color palette to complement the floor and furniture finishes the in the building, then layered over the school’s Brand colors.  Once the color palette was solidified, Image 4 sourced both stock and custom-shot photographs which were converted to “tone on tone” designs that featured the most memorable building on campus. The last portion of the Brand Design involved WordArt in a variety of tones and colors.

The Brand Assets were first deployed as elements in a 50-foot wall mural in Kingston hall. Image 4 designed a second large-scale mural focusing on Mount Monadnock, as a touchpoint for the new Monadnock Residence. Image 4’s Production team printed and installed the wall murals, and the theme is being expanded as SNHU refreshes other facilities around the campus.
