Project Overview

NUNA is a global company that designs and manufactures high end baby items such as strollers and car seats. NUNA prides itself on designing products that are not only functional, but beautiful and inspire joy when used. The company is also focused on responsible and sustainable design, using non-toxic materials, eco-friendly packaging, and energy efficient equipment wherever possible. Image 4 was a like-minded partner, sharing very similar design and sustainability philosophy. We strive to create beautiful spaces designed for maximum function, with emphasis on sustainability and efficiency.

Boutique retailers are a vital part of NUNA’s sales channel strategy. NUNA wanted to place visually appealing, easy to install product display exhibits in retail locations to allow parents to easily see, compare, and learn about NUNA’s most popular products. These Brand Environments would vary in size and shape, but needed to have consistent Brand Presentation, interaction, and modular display components. Exhibits included structural components, product display shelving, printed graphics, and digital displays.

Image 4 designers specified pre-fab modular walling units and custom cabinetry to reduce cost, build time and set-up complexity. Custom millwork delivers the clean, “European” Brand aesthetic. Large monitors deliver Brand content from Image 4’s servers via MDM (mobile device management) software system to allow for remote management, rapid editing and deployment of content, and even software updates to the devices. This ensures that NUNA maintains control over the content.

Because of the modular, rapid-build approach, NUNA was able to eliminate the cost of carrying a large fixture inventory, and quality improved dramatically over the China-built imports. Packaging, freight and deployment costs all dropped, and the combined print-image/Brand – video image/Content approach maximized both media to present a modern, on-point Brand presentation.

The design approach has been carried over to NUNA’s large-scale, regional “showroom” builds in major DMA’s around the United States and Canada. These 2400-3600sf environments follow the same Brand Experience strategy, with more merchandise displays and include multi-surface path, featuring cobblestone, brick, grass and asphalt, on which strollers can be demonstrated and experienced by customers.
