Summary: The Shared Heart organization has a high mission - to engage
and educate high school students about the sensitivity and social
difficulties of gay high schoolers. Part of the method is to show
that gay kids are as normal as anyone else, that they struggle wtih
great trials, and that they may be your friend next door.
Director Adam Mastoon asked Image 4 to create 4 mobile displays
that could travel around New England, and withstand the rigors of
frequent set up and take down. The display also had to protect and
enhance the 30 hand-printed, archivally-processed B/W photographs.
Image 4 used our own SuperBooth folding panel system, mounting
fabric panels in the lower tier, and sandwiching our fine art prints in
acrylic for the upper panels. The exhibit structure protected and
presented the art, travels in wheeled cases, and allows for changing
the images as the program matures.
The results? Outstanding recognition, accomplishment, and a
5-year relationship with The Shared Heart. Image 4 is proud to help.
