Your final graphic is only as good as what you start with! Start with the best possible image available. Much of our work involves high-resolution image scanning. We can scan your original and reproduce it as a print, banner, display transparency, etc. Or, we can scan the image and return it to you for your own editing - retouching, scaling, cropping, and placement by you into a larger document.
We use 3 scanners to give you RGB or CMYK scans up to 4800 dpi at 48-bit color! And we can scan from images up to 72" wide including paintings, renderings, etc.
Professional Scanning/Digital Copy Photography
If you have a film original to 8x10", or a flat-art original to 12x18", we
can acquire the image directly. If your originals are larger, add the cost
of a film intermediate from pricing below. We use Imacon & LinoType-Hell
scanners and the new Kodak NT1 Digital copy camera. We discount quantity
orders.
Unless otherwise instructed, all scans are delivered RGB TIF on CD-R media.
Add $10 per CD-R.
Optical Copy Photography
Optical image copying can be superior to direct-digital capture for some
art. If you have a flat-art image up to 48x72" in size, Image 4 can expose
film for scanning. We use special copy cameras and special lenses to assure
sharp, color correct copy negs. & transparencies.
