Sustainability means that we are here tomorrow to serve our clients and employ our staff. Our responsibility as a part of a local and world-wide community is to execute all our operations in a respectful and mindful fashion. Daily, we work to operate in a fashion that improves relationships, our constituents, and our business.
Image 4's environmental practices had humble origins. Originally, Image 4 began recycling because we were looking to reduce expenses. A few of our clients offered opportunities to design and deploy environmentally sound products. From there, we integrated these practices to offer thought processes and products to all of our clients.
Each piece of equipment we deploy is considered against robust environmental standards on air pollution, waste, and energy use. Every facility, product and equipment decision now includes consideration of how to source, how to produce and the long-tail impact. Through the greening of our own processes and facility, Image 4's clients experience immediate benefit: many of the products and services the company offers are already "green." And we've taken some steps toward leaving the planet in better shape than when we inherited it.

"Green" - the common word for Environmental Sustainability, and what it may mean to your business
"Green" is a strategic business decision, involving your customers, your suppliers, and your company. Greening your interior, exhibit and retail program will save you money!
Image 4 is the first Environmental Branding company to join the USGBC, and to deploy LEED and GBC-accredited staff to support our client's green building initiatives. We also have earned "Green Advantage-Commercial" status as a "green" contractor. Green Advantage contractors assist in developing LEED credits for projects.
When you need to "green" your space, Image 4 gets you there immediately.
As project opportunities arise, our account managers and project managers engage our clients about the opportunities to deploy reduced-load graphic and display options, engage in discussions about LEAN design and manufacturing, and manage all project resources effectively.
Our company's credentials speak for themselves: in November 2007, Inc. Magazine named Image 4 the "World's Greenest Trade Show Exhibit Producer" in their The Greening of Everything issue. We've been featured in "Deliver" Magazine for our sustainability practices. WMUR TV has covered our production of sustainable display products.
We have been asked to present and take part in numerous events around sustainability, and we interact on trade association sustainability committees. Image 4's President writes on industry-related sustainability challenges, thinking and projects. Our multi-year leadership within the New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility exposes us to thought leaders and best practices on a monthly basis.
We're particularly pleased to have been involved in over 30 facility graphics projects where our contribution supported LEED outcomes, including the NEXUS Center Boston and the Pizza Fusion franchise of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Roughly 25 percent of our clients choose to execute a sustainable display or interior program.

Why we measure ourselves to LEED standards
As environmental concerns are moving into the mainstream, companies are taking different approaches to becoming more environmentally conscious. As of this writing, there are no industry-wide standards describing "green" for the large-format graphics or display fabricating industries.
In this vacuum of credibility, Image 4 has aspired to and implemented the most robust standard available -LEED.
The U.S. Green Building Council manages the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System. This program encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices. LEED standard is the benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings.
Image 4 is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council. We work to standards broadly defined by the Retail - Commercial Interiors sub-specialty. Additionally, the company is sponsoring a number of our project managers and account personnel through the LEED Associate Professional Accreditation process.
The LEED rating system is used by architects, real estate professionals, facility managers, engineers, construction managers, lenders and government agencies, among others. Although this program is a specific measurement system for buildings, Image 4 has taken the philosophy and standards of construction as a guide to our internal sourcing, management and fabricating practices, and we can support on-site LEED requirements in the Commercial Interiors arena.
Image 4 believes this independent, third-party accreditation creates tangible value for clients who are executing any form of branded environments. Image 4 is taking the marketing concept of branded environments and offering clients who are so motivated the opportunity to implement a sustainable, carbon-sensitive environment for their organization and their customers. This alignment of practices resonates in many consumers' purchasing decisions today.
Jeff Baker, president of Image 4, is also certified by Green Advantage(tm), the green building environmental certification program. When a significant percentage of a project's building force is Green Advantage Certified prior to the commencement of construction, the project can earn LEED Innovation Credits in addition to LEED facilitation credits.
Green Advantage is an environmental certification for building-related practitioners - primarily contractors, subcontractors and trades people. More than 3000 building-related practitioners nationwide have passed the Green Advantage Certification Exam. Image 4 is now listed in the Green Advantage online directory of green-building resources.
